Who should attend :-
Higher secondary passed/Graduate/Diploma/Certificate holders in Yoga/Naturopathy/Physical education.

Objective :- Ayurveda Foundation Course is meant to set-up the foundation of Ayurveda for further education and to get a brief introduction of Ayurvedic science. This certificate allows the students to actively participate on any event of ayuveda by having a foundation on the subject. Prime objectives for this certificate course is-

To promote the awareness for Positve Health and personality assessment by knowing body type (Vata, Pitta & Kapha) in students.
To develop and impart skills in application of herbal supplements for restoring and promoting positive health.
Etiology of selected disease will be studied with the help of research surveys and clinical observations in the context of basic concepts in Ayurveda.

Pre-requisite/ Eligibility Higher secondary passed/Graduate/Diploma/Certificate holders in Yoga/Naturopathy/Physical education.
Duration 60Hrs

Duration of the course :-
60hrs of contact classes with 1 assignment and 1 exam, Minimum of 1 month.

Internal assessment

Attendance in Theory and Practical.
Assignment in the form of UAFC and Theoretical work.
Personal experiences pertaining to herbal supplements and the concept of Ayurveda.
Personality changes: as assessed by different teachers through a semi structured tool.

UAFC 101: Introduction to History of Ayurveda and Basic Principles Veda and Ayurveda.

Ayurveda as the art of living & the science of healing, Introduction to Sankhya theory and the roots of Vedic Philiosphy. The scientific principles of Ayurveda. Spirituality in daily life and the aims of life; dharma, artha, kama and moksha. The present situation of Ayurveda in India.

Total Course Duration- 60Hrs

Holidays/vacations- Chinese new year- 10 days, Christmas / New year- 10 days and all calendar holidays of Singapore except Sundays

Week days (Monday to Friday)

Day Session- 10.00am to 3.00 pm (Lunch break 1.00pm to 2 pm)
Evening Session- 7.00pm to 10.00pm

Saturdays Session- 9.00am to 2.30pm and 3.00pm to 8.30pm (Lunch break 12.30pm to 1.30 pm; DRT 2.30 to 3.00pm; Tea break 4pm to 4.30pm)
Sundays Session- 8.00am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 7.00pm (Lunch break 1.00pm to 1.30 pm; DRT 1.30 to 2.00pm; Tea break 4pm to 4.30pm)
